Victoria Donoghue
Respiratory Physiotherapist Physiotherapist in Cardiorespiratory Medicine MProfPrac (Distinction), BSc (Physio), MPNZ, MCSP
Victoria trained as a physiotherapist at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. She has worked in the area of cardiorespiratory both in Great Britain and New Zealand in ICU, medical and surgical settings for adults and paediatrics.
Based in the Waikato, her clinical practice encompasses cardio respiratory care based at the Breathing Space - Physiotherapy for Breathing clinic . This provides assessment and treatment for breathing pattern disorders, brorichiectasis, COPD, asthma, chronic cough and long covid populations. She is a trained Brad Cliff practitioner (Level 1& 2) and previously worked with Dinah Bradley and Tania Clifton Smith at Breathing Works, Auckland. She has received post graduate training in Autogenic Drainage by Professor Jean Chevaillier at the Zeepreventorium clinic, Belgium on scholarship. Victoria is a member of the cardiorespiratory special interest group of Physiotherapy New Zealand and the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand.
Victoria is passionate about lifelong learning within professional practice and is committed to fostering this within the space of professional supervision of physiotherapists and advocating a research culture in practice. She has completed a Masters in Professional Practice which includes training in professional supervision. Victoria provides professional supervision and mentorship to physiotherapists across Aotea~oa both in person and virtually.
She has served on the Professional Practice Com_mittee since 2017 providing advice, education and support for Physiotherapy New Zealand
